I bought pots...hooray?

I bought pots and pans today...specifically THOSE pots and pans...I'm not excited about it.

I've recently been furnishing an apartment...or rather, my friends have been furnishing my apartments, while I've been buying various electronic toys and gadgets to play with. My furniture may all be hand-me-downs but I've got a beautiful Sony LED TV, game consoles (plural), and a bumpin' stereo system.

My priorities.
So while my television may be crisp, vibrant, and 1080p, my fridge is stocked entirely with gatorade, soda, and a few bags of carrots (for nutrition). I've only recently started acquiring useful things as opposed to fun things. Like a toaster oven. Also, apparently, on this toaster oven you have to turn the timer dial past the 10 minute mark before twisting it back if, say, you just want to warm up a pair of pop tarts. I didn't realize anything had gone wrong until I noticed a certain haze in my apartment, and what I would assume a herd of wildebeests would smell like if they were all set on fire.

On the bright side, I learned to bake cookies, with a newly purchased cookie sheet! Unfortunately, I didn't have any hot pads, so I had to resort to using a dish rag, until I could make another shopping trip. The trick: quick hands are unscorched hands. Anyways, after making myself sick on my first solo batch, I realized I have no self-control and have since stuck to batches of no more than 4.

Anyways, I bought these pots with about as much excitement as I reserve for when a political ad comes on the TV. But at least they're red...so that's exciting...

UPDATE: 4 years later... Just in case anyone ever stumbles across this post (I don't know why they would, since I have no intention of ever sharing)...the pots arrived and they were BLACK. All that excitement for nothing...
